Copyright Policy

Overview
HooWooh respects copyright and expects users to do the same. This policy explains what content you may convert, how to report suspected copyright infringement, and how HooWooh responds to such reports.
Your responsibility
You may only upload, scan, paste, or otherwise submit content that you own, that is in the public domain, or that you are otherwise authorized to convert into audio — including having any necessary permissions from the rights holder.
HooWooh is a personal conversion tool, not a distribution platform. Generated audio is intended for your own private listening, not for redistribution, resale, or public sharing.
DRM & circumvention
HooWooh does not support converting DRM-protected files (such as most EPUBs purchased through major ebook retailers) and does not provide tools to remove or circumvent DRM protection. Files with DRM in place will not convert.
Reporting infringement
If you believe content processed through HooWooh infringes your copyright, you may submit a notice including:
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
- Identification of the material you believe is infringing, with enough detail for HooWooh to locate it
- Your contact information
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the rights holder
- Your physical or electronic signature
Notices should be submitted through the Contact page. A designated copyright agent and formal submission address will be published here before launch.
Counter-notice process
A user whose content is removed or restricted following an infringement notice may submit a counter-notice disputing the claim, including their contact information, identification of the removed material, and a statement under penalty of perjury that the material was removed in error or misidentification. The formal counter-notice process will be finalized before launch.
Repeat infringer policy
Accounts associated with repeated, credible copyright infringement claims may be suspended or terminated at HooWooh's discretion, consistent with the Terms and Conditions and Acceptable Use Policy.
